For a long time, there was a bug on the Japan server that "double-counted people from the new server" in the rankings.
Pearl Abyss responded that it would "investigate" this issue.
However, Pearl Abyss actually did nothing and left the issue unaddressed for a long time, only realizing the problem and silently fixing it "during some work" in November 2021.
And Pearl Abyss has remained silent, neither announcing that there was a problem nor that it had fixed it.
We request an explanation and apology for this issue.

history of the problem

*2021/01/19 Number of players
On January 19, 2021, there were 45564 players in Japan, including Elian and a new server, combined.
Elian server 34021
New server 11543
---------------
All server 45564
*2021/01/19 Server Integration
The new server was merged into the Elian server.

---------------
All server 56654
When we merged the servers, suddenly the number of registrations for the ranking increased by 11090.
This is very strange.
The increase was almost equal to the number of people on the new server, and we suspected that "people on the new server were being double-counted".
With this bug confirmed, we contacted Pearl Abyss.
And the response from Pearl Abyss was "we will look into it and address any issues".
But Pearl Abyss actually did nothing, 11 months passed and the number of players decreased daily to 32917.
*2021/11/23 Number of players
Elian server 32917
The problem was the following week, suddenly there were 12,210 fewer people, now 20,707.
This number is very close to the number of people who have been double-counted.

What happened during the past week?
At the end of the December Calpheon Ball, a "ranking of everything" was displayed.
Probably while compiling this data, Pearl Abyss noticed the problem of "double-counting" of rankings.
Pearl Abyss thought, "If I don't tell anyone, anyone won't be found out," and corrected it secretly.
No, no, no.
That problem we noticed 11 months ago.
And we have contacted Pearl Abyss.
There is no such thing as "keep quiet and anyone'll never be found out".
Pearl Abyss has not announced that there was a problem or that it has been fixed, and has made no apology for this issue.
We demand an explanation and apology from Pearl Abyss.
